About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in Marsala on limestone and sandy-loam soils.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-harvested into small baskets, with each bunch selected by hand. After pressing, the juice settles naturally before skin maceration and spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in old barrels and clay amphorae. Malolactic fermentation follows. Intervention is kept to a minimum, without chemical, physical or mechanical treatments. The wine is bottled unfiltered and without added sulfites.
Ageing
The wine rests on its lees for at least 10 months.
Tasting profile
Intense.
Serving and pairing
Allow the wine to breathe in the glass or a decanter for 15–30 minutes before drinking.
Label / history
The name “Integer” comes from the Latin for “whole.” The Integer range is made exclusively from native grape varieties that have found a natural home in Marco De Bartoli’s vineyards.
