About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from a 2 ha organic vineyard just north of Marsala, in the province of Trapani. The 15-year-old vines grow on flat, sandy loam soils.

Grapes

The wine uses Lucido, a less common but not rare type of Catarratto whose grapes have a smoother, shinier surface.

Vinification

The grapes are usually harvested by hand in the second week of September, then chilled, carefully selected and gently pressed. The juice settles at low temperature for 48 hours before fermenting in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks with native yeasts and minimal sulfites.

Ageing

The wine rests on its lees for seven months.

Serving and pairing

Allow the wine to breathe for at least 15–30 minutes before serving.
