About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The organically farmed vineyards are in Central Apulia, inland from the Adriatic Sea, on the Altopiano delle Murge near Sammichele di Bari. They lie at 280 m above sea level on rocky limestone soils, which contribute distinctive acidity and minerality to the grapes.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed and crushed. Maceration lasts 1–4 days with frequent punch-downs. After separation from the skins, the juice ferments with wild yeasts in stainless-steel tanks. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration and with no added sulfur.

Ageing

The wine matures in stainless-steel tanks for eight months before bottling.

Tasting profile

Fresh and easy-drinking, with abundant fruit, distinctive acidity and minerality, and a structured palate.
