About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in the Meleto and San Piero subzones, whose soils have complementary characteristics.
Grapes
Trebbiano and Malvasia Bianca Toscana.
Vinification
The harvested grapes are pressed gently. The free-run juice is cooled and returned to the press, cooling the skins as well. After several hours of cold soaking, pressing is completed. The resulting must is cold-settled and the clear fraction is transferred to begin fermentation. At the onset of vigorous fermentation, the fermenting juice is moved into first-use acacia barriques, where fermentation finishes.
Ageing
The wine continues to mature on its lees in the acacia barriques for 15 months.
Tasting profile
A full-bodied white combining varietal character with citrus, white flowers, delicate hazelnut and pine nut, fine toasted nuances, acacia and anise. The palate is elegant and fresh, ending on a savoury, persistent finish.
Vintage notes
The official shop offers the 2023 vintage in 75 cl bottles.
