About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the company's own vineyards in Alto Adige, at 500–650 m above sea level. The vines are 10–20 years old.
Grapes
The variety is Pinot Nero, also called Blauburgunder.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested only when they reach optimal ripeness. At the winery they are macerated, then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 10 days.
Ageing
Malolactic fermentation and ageing take place in used barriques and small oak barrels.
