About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Sauvignon Blanc is grown in Alto Adige, on the steep east- and west-facing slopes around Merano, where the variety shows its full potential especially well.

Vinification

After harvest the grapes undergo 12 hours of cold maceration in the press. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in small stainless steel tanks.

Ageing

5 months on the fine lees.

Tasting profile

Elegant, expressive and approachable, with a distinctive South Tyrolean character. Fresh, aromatic and easy to drink.

Serving and pairing

Suited to an everyday meal or a festive occasion; the text names no specific dishes.

Label / history

Sauvignon Blanc is one of the oldest French grape varieties. It became established in South Tyrol more than 100 years ago and has recently grown to become the region's most popular variety.
