About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in Merano at 500–750 m above sea level. The vines are 15–20 years old.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness. At the winery, they undergo five days of cold maceration, followed by 12 days of fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation begins after alcoholic fermentation is complete.
Ageing
The wine matures in a combination of new and previously used tonneaux.
