About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The company's vineyards are in Acate, in the province of Ragusa, where the grapes develop a rich, ripe and structured character. Nero d'Avola was first found around the town of Avola, near Syracuse, and is now grown throughout Sicily.
Vinification
Harvest usually takes place in the first week of September. A team of specialists selects only grapes that have reached ideal aromatic and polyphenolic ripeness. After gentle pressing, the wine undergoes traditional vinification, including malolactic fermentation with selected bacteria.
Ageing
Aged for 6 months in French oak barriques.
Tasting profile
Rich, ripe and structured in character. Semi-dry.
Serving and pairing
A versatile single-varietal wine, easy to pair with dishes from around the world and enjoyable on its own.
