About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from Michele Chiarlo’s small parcel in Montestefano, planted in 1951 on well-drained clay, limestone and marl soils. These soils contribute structure and longevity.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented on the skins for 20 days.

Ageing

The wine matures for four years: two years in barrel followed by two years in bottle.

Tasting profile

Characterful and deep, with a multifaceted, confident and harmonious character and firm structure.

Label / history

Produced only in selected vintages. The 2019 release was limited to 2,800 bottles.
