About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in southwestern Sicily, at 150–350 m above sea level, on clay-limestone soils. Yields do not exceed 15 t/ha.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested partly by hand and partly by machine. They are gently pressed, then fermented at low temperatures in steel tanks to preserve freshness and bright varietal character.
Ageing
The wine rests on fine lees in the fermentation tanks for 3–4 months, followed by additional bottle ageing for an unspecified period.

Fresh and lively, with bright varietal character.
Vintage notes
The 2021 growing season began slightly earlier than usual. Summer brought several very hot days, but rainfall moderated the effects of the heat. Relatively dry conditions during other periods helped keep the crop healthy, resulting in an excellent harvest.
