About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow in south-facing hillside vineyards in Abruzzo, in the provinces of Kienti and Teramo, at 150–350 m above sea level. The soils are stony clay-limestone, and yields do not exceed 12 t/ha.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested partly by hand and partly by machine. After destemming and crushing, they ferment on the skins in temperature-controlled steel tanks.

Ageing

Part of the wine ages in oak barrels for five months, bringing complexity, depth and roundness to the final blend. The wine then rests in bottle for an unspecified period.

Tasting profile

Fresh and easy-drinking, with complexity, depth and roundness from the oak-aged component.
