About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie around Magrè at the foot of a gentle slope, between 220 and 350 metres above sea level, with south to south-east exposure. Their white calcareous gravel soils contain abundant humus. Warm summers, mild winters and the Ora—the warm afternoon wind arriving from Lake Garda—define the Mediterranean climate.
Grapes
100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand and carefully destemmed. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks with gentle pumping over.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in barriques and for another year in bottle.
Tasting profile
Intense ruby red with notable density. The bouquet is dense yet subtle, combining wild blackberries and blueberries with gentle balsamic and herbal undertones. The palate is deep and concentrated, with savoury tannins and a returning balsamic note.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 16–18 °C with venison stew or meat skewers. Store in a cool place at 10–13 °C and at no less than 60% humidity.
