About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyard occupies Punggl, the local dialect name for a hill only 50 metres high that extends south of Magrè. The vines stand at 220–250 metres above sea level in stratified grey clayey sand with a high clay content. The Mediterranean climate brings hot summers and mild winters, together with the Ora, the warm afternoon wind arriving from Lake Garda.

Grapes

100% Pinot Grigio.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed whole. The clarified must ferments for approximately three weeks in 30 hl wooden barrels.

Ageing

The young wine remains on its lees for a further eight months.

Tasting profile

Brilliant pale straw yellow with notable colour depth. The subtle aroma evokes apricot purée and lychee, accompanied by a light note of fresh thyme. Rounded and deep on the palate, it has supportive acidity and a pronounced savoury character.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 10–12 °C with stuffed vine leaves or souvlaki. Store in a cool place at 10–13 °C with at least 60% humidity.
