About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Riesling comes from vineyards above Nalles in the Adige Valley. The sites lie at 500–750 m with east to south-east exposure; the wine’s terroir description places the vineyard at approximately 500 m on the right bank of the Adige. Porphyry and limestone characterize the soils. The climate ranges from continental to sub-Mediterranean, with warm days and cool nights.

Grapes

100% Riesling.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand. After clarification, the must ferments at low temperature for approximately three weeks in stainless-steel tanks.

Ageing

The young wine remains on its lees for a further seven months.

Technical data

Alto Adige DOC. Recommended storage conditions are 10–13 °C and at least 60% humidity.

Tasting profile

Bright golden yellow with notable depth. Persimmon and kiwi aromas are joined by an undertone of freshly cut grass. The palate is close-knit, fresh and zesty, leading to a persistent finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 10–12 °C. Pair with crab cake or lobster roll, or with risotto prepared with artichokes or castraure.
