About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are grown on plains bordering Friuli.

Grapes

Merlot forms the larger proportion of the blend and provides its fruit character, while Cabernet Franc contributes aromatic accents.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested and gently pressed. The must undergoes cool skin contact, followed by a first fermentation in steel tanks and a second fermentation at low temperature in an autoclave for six months before bottling.

Tasting profile

Smooth and creamy, with good structure, fruit notes, aromatic accents and natural acidity. The wine is straightforward and balanced, with notable drinkability and a long finish.

Vintage notes

In 2022, Veneto experienced especially balanced weather, with moderate temperatures and sufficient rainfall. These conditions preserved the grapes’ natural acidity while bringing freshness, ripeness and fruit notes.

Label / history

The name Faìve derives from Faville, a Venetian dialect word for the tiny red sparks that rise from a fire and travel freely on the wind. Winemaker and company owner Primo Franco developed the idea of a sparkling rosé with his friend, red-wine producer Brandino Brandolini. They chose red grapes to provide structure and cool skin contact to obtain the wine’s colour.
