About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from Pellegrino’s own vineyards in the Marsala and Pantelleria areas. The vines grow on southeast-facing slopes and are 20–30 years old.
Grapes
The source identifies the grapes as Muscat of Alexandria.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in early September and gently pressed. The must ferments under pressure in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. Fermentation is stopped by rapidly reducing the temperature once the intended balance of alcohol and sugar has been reached.
Ageing
The wine rests briefly in steel tanks before bottling.
Tasting profile
Bright fruit aromas lead to a refreshing palate whose sweetness is not overly sugary.
