History
Pellegrino was founded in 1880 by Paolo Pellegrino, a notary with a deep love of winemaking. In 1888 he opened a winery in Marsala. Over time it became a family business and gradually earned a reputation as one of the most successful producers of Marsala wine.
Marsala gained international recognition through the English, who had a taste for fortified wines such as sherry and port. After arriving in the town of Marsala and trying the local wine, they applied the production methods used for similar fortified wines and introduced it to the international market.
Winemaking
Pellegrino produces Marsala wine. Each year it continues to improve the quality of its wines by refining its technology while carefully following tradition.
Philosophy
