About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from organically farmed vineyards in Feudo di Mezzo and Pietramarina. The vines grow on mineral-rich black lava-sand soils, surrounded by forests and recent lava flows.
Vinification
The 2022 grapes were harvested from 1 to 10 October, quickly transported to the winery, immediately chilled to 10 °C and selected by hand. After destemming, they fermented on the skins in wooden and stainless-steel vats at 24 °C for 16–18 days, with two manual punch-downs daily.
Ageing
The wine matured in wooden and steel vessels for 6–8 months and was bottled in August 2023.
