About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay grows on exposed, calcareous sites between Badia a Passignano and Panzano in the Chianti Classico area.
Grapes
100% Chardonnay, organically certified.
Vinification
Fully ripe, healthy grapes are selectively picked by hand. Whole clusters are pressed immediately with their stems. Fermentation takes place at a controlled 16°C, and malolactic fermentation is avoided to retain the grape’s natural acidity and freshness.
Ageing
CHIARA is made without oak. It rests on its fine lees until the end of January, developing texture and depth while protecting its primary fruit, and is bottled in February.
Technical data
The current vintage is 2025. Alcohol is 13.5% vol., and production totals 4,500 bottles.
Tasting profile
A lively, juicy and racy Chardonnay with primary fruit, fine minerality and a harmonious body. The absence of oak and malolactic fermentation gives the palate precision, clarity and vibrant acidity.
