About this wine
Grapes
The 2023 blend is 70% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vinification
The grapes are selectively picked by hand at the end of September. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by approximately 12 days of maceration for colour and gentle tannin extraction.
Ageing
TRITTICO matures in used barriques and stainless-steel tanks. This combination retains the primary fruit while adding structure and suppleness. Bottling takes place at the beginning of April.
Technical data
The current vintage is 2023. Alcohol is 13.5% vol., and production totals 15,000 bottles.
Tasting profile
Bright purple in colour, with ripe, sweet-toned fruit, fine minerality and a juicy yet consistently dry palate. The wine is structured without heaviness, with silky, soft tannins, harmonious texture and a subtle, persistent finish.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 16–18°C. Pair with braised meat, stews, hearty pasta with meat or mushroom sauces, sautéed mushrooms or flavourful summer vegetables. It may also be enjoyed on its own. Recommended drinking window: now through 2027.
