About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Barbera grapes grow on limestone and clay soils with a high sand content. These soils contribute freshness, well-defined acidity and a delicate texture.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature and is followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine ages on its lees for around 12 months in barriques and large oak casks, developing depth, roundness and an elegant structure that balances rich fruit.
Tasting profile
Fresh and energetic, with rich fruit, well-defined acidity and a delicate texture. The structure is elegant, with depth and roundness.
Serving and pairing
Pair with red meat, pasta with rich sauces, traditional Piedmontese dishes or aged cheeses.
Label / history
The name “Marida” refers to the elegant, independent woman depicted on the label until 2021. She served as a metaphor for the wine’s confident and memorable character.
