About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Nebbiolo grows in the limestone-and-clay soils of Barbaresco, which are rich in sand.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, then gently destemmed and pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to preserve the wine's clean aromas. Malolactic fermentation follows.
Ageing
The wine matures in oak barrels for at least 26 months, developing a refined, rounded character and a velvety texture.
Tasting profile
Complex, with impressive balance and depth already evident. Refined and rounded, with a velvety texture. With time it is said to reveal further layers of aroma and flavour.
Serving and pairing
Suggested dishes: slow-cooked beef, truffle pasta, aged cheeses, duck confit and dishes with rich meat sauces. Simpler choices such as tartare or a delicate risotto also suit it.
