About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines are in Salento, where the warm climate and the nearness of the Mediterranean shape the wine's southern energy. The vines are 10 to 15 years old and planted at 4,000–5,000 plants per hectare.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in mid-September. The must ferments in steel tanks at carefully controlled temperatures, which preserves the freshness of the fruit and gives gentle tannins.
Ageing
The wine ages in stainless steel and then matures further in bottle. This brings out the pure flavours of Negroamaro and gives a balanced character.
Tasting profile
Generous and smooth, with Mediterranean spirit. The fruit is rich and lively, with spice. The style is approachable and easy to drink, with gentle tannins. It is expressive, generous and very food-friendly.
