Grapes
Two Lambrusco varieties are used in equal proportions.
Vinification
The wine is bottled while fermentation is still under way. Carbon dioxide develops in the bottle, producing a smooth, dense foam when it is opened.
Tasting profile
Simple and open in character, without depth or complexity. The mousse is smooth and dense.
Serving and pairing
Suitable on its own or with light sweet foods, including desserts, fruit and pastries.
Label / history
Cantina Puianello was founded in 1938 by five winemaking families. Further members gradually joined the cooperative, whose vineyards expanded to 300 ha, 80% on hillsides. Following a merger with Coviolo in 2005, it had 398 members and 436 ha of vineyards. The winery underwent a major renovation and equipment upgrade in 2012.
