About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyard covers 6.6 hectares and is planted at a density of 6,666 vines per hectare. It is farmed organically.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand in late September and fermented in stainless-steel tanks at 28 °C.

Ageing

The wine ages for 18 months in 500-litre French oak barrels, followed by 12 months in bottle before release. Each barrel holds the equivalent of 666 bottles.

Label / history

The name Sei, Italian for “six,” reflects the number’s recurrence at the winery and vineyard: the 6.6-hectare site, its planting density of 6,666 vines per hectare, the 666-bottle capacity represented by each ageing barrel, and Luisa’s birth date, 06.06.1946.
