About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The 30–40-year-old vines grow in deep, humus-rich alluvial soils over limestone subsoils.
Grapes
The blend contains equal proportions of Primitivo, Malvasia Nera and Cinsault, the latter locally known as Ottavianello.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness in late September, followed by traditional vinification.
Ageing
The wine rests for at least three months in large Slavonian oak barrels.
Tasting profile
The aroma is rich, while the palate is spicy and velvety.
