Label / history
Wines enriched with herbs and spices have ancient precedents. In the Langhe, Barolo Chinato emerged at the end of the nineteenth century and is associated with Dr Cappellano, a pharmacist from Serralunga d'Alba who devised an elixir for curative use. Families throughout the Langa subsequently developed individual recipes reflecting their tastes and the herbs growing among their vineyards. Roagna's version follows an old family recipe.
