About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Barbera grapes are grown in vineyards around Alba at an altitude of about 350 metres, on clay soils. The sun gently warms the slopes, and cool nights help the grapes keep their freshness.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand. They undergo cold maceration and fermentation at a controlled temperature.

Ageing

The wine rests for 2 months in stainless steel tanks, then 12 months in foudres, followed by at least 3 more months in bottle.

Tasting profile

Elegant, with floral and fruity aromas and a full, balanced palate. The long ageing gives depth, a velvety texture and aromas that open harmoniously.

Serving and pairing

Pairs with pasta in tomato sauce, braised meat, and semi-hard or aged cheeses.
