About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Nebbiolo grows in the "Curra" vineyard in the village of Neive, near Barbaresco. The soils are limestone and clay with marl and gravel, which give the wine its structure, minerality and refined restraint.

Vinification

The grapes are hand-picked at full phenolic ripeness. Traditional methods are combined with careful, precise handling, which preserves the purity of the grape.

Ageing

The wine is aged in stages: 14 months in new French oak barrels, then 6 months in steel tanks, then 6 months in bottle. This brings out depth and texture and gives the wine potential to develop over time.

Tasting profile

Expressive and complex, with depth, texture, minerality and refined restraint. It opens up gradually in the glass.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16–18 °C. Decanting softens the tannins and brings out more aromatic depth. It suits richly flavoured dishes: red meat, game, stews with hearty sauces and aged cheeses.
