About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Barbera grows in a vineyard in Alba. Roberto Voerzio uses natural fertilizers and carefully selects the vines, leaving only half of the grape clusters. In warm, favourable years, each vine yields enough fruit for one bottle; in rainy years, several vines are needed for one bottle.

Vinification

Fully ripe grapes are harvested in the second half of September. The must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.

Ageing

The wine matures for 12 months in barrels, of which 30% are new and 70% used, followed by eight months in stainless-steel tanks.

Tasting profile

Rich and concentrated, with fruit and berry notes, a silky texture, and a rounded, balanced character.

Serving and pairing

Pairs with traditional Italian meat appetizers.
