About this wine
Vinification
Fermented with natural yeasts and made with minimal sulfur, without filtration. Some sediment may therefore form in the bottle.
Label / history
The name “Masca” reflects the wine’s origins as Roccapesta’s “ugly duckling”. It was created when the estate, despite preferring not to use international grape varieties in its wines from Scansano, chose to include varieties grown in its own vineyards alongside Sangiovese.
