About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from various vineyards belonging to Podere Rocche dei Manzoni, all situated in Monforte d’Alba (CN). The vines are Guyot-trained at a density of 4,000 plants per hectare.
Grapes
100% Barbera d’Alba.
Vinification
The grapes are selected, then fermented at controlled temperature for approximately 12–14 days in contact with the skins.
Ageing
The wine matures first in small oak barrels and subsequently in cement.

Tasting profile
An intense ruby-red colour with violet reflections. The pronounced, vinous aroma is intense and persistent, recalling violets and leather. The palate is clean and expressive of Barbera, combining a firm backbone with a dense texture. Dry, full-bodied and characterful.

Serve at 16–18 °C.
