About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the estate's own vineyards in Veneto. They are selected from the sunniest, most open sites.
Vinification
After harvest the grapes go to the winery and are vinified in strictly temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Pre-fermentation maceration lasts 7–8 days and is followed by fermentation.
Ageing
The wine is aged for 3–6 months before bottling.

Label / history
Santa Sofia's wines have been tied to the history, culture and land of the region for two hundred years. The winery is housed in a XVI-century villa designed by Andrea Palladio. The Begnoni family has owned the cellars since 1960. Giancarlo Begnoni runs the estate with his son Luciano and daughter Patrizia.
