About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyards are situated on the hills of Valpolicella, north of Verona. The clay-limestone soils provide good drainage, and the growing conditions are sunny and warm.

Vinification

The wine is made by the ripasso method. The must undergoes a second fermentation in oak barrels with grape-skin pomace remaining from the production of Amarone or Recioto. This develops additional aromas and greater structural complexity.

Tasting profile

The bouquet is complex, with aromas developed during the second fermentation.
