About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The 2021 grapes came from Central Tuscany, from south-east-facing vineyards at 250 m above sea level. The Sangiovese vines were 20–30 years old, trained to spurred cordon, with a yield of 90 quintals per hectare. Estate harvesting and selection are manual: grapes are selected in the vineyard and again berry by berry on a conveyor belt.

Grapes

100% Sangiovese.

Vinification

Fermentation took place at controlled temperature for 10 days. The use of stainless steel preserves the wine’s fresh fruit and floral character.

Ageing

Seven months in stainless-steel tanks, followed by 2–3 months in bottle before release.

Technical data

2021 vintage. Chianti DOCG. Alcohol: 14% vol. Recommended serving temperature: 18 °C.

Tasting profile

Medium ruby red. The fragrant nose combines fruit with classic floral notes, including wild strawberry and violet. The palate is juicy, fresh and balanced, with elegant tannins, returning fragrant fruit and an appealing, persistent finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 18 °C with mixed crostini, assorted salumi or pasta with tomato sauce.
