About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The organically farmed vineyards lie on steep slopes near Menfi in southwestern Sicily, at 400 m above sea level. Surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, they receive gentle Sicilian sunshine and fresh sea breezes. The vines root deeply in porous volcanic soils rich in ash and sulfur.
Vinification
After harvest, the wine undergoes traditional vinification in neutral vessels.
Tasting profile
The wine has a pronounced mineral character.
Label / history
The name Inycon derives from the ancient Greek name for the municipality of Menfi, where the grapes are grown.
