About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown around Menfi in southwestern Sicily. The vineyards lie near the Mediterranean Sea, where warm Sicilian sunshine and fresh coastal breezes aid ripening. The breezes moderate temperature changes and ventilate the vineyards, while consistent sunshine and moderate rainfall help limit rot and mould.
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation proceeds slowly under temperature control in steel tanks, using traditional methods.
Ageing
The wine is aged and stabilized in stainless-steel tanks.
Label / history
The name Inycon derives from the ancient Greek name for Menfi, the municipality in which the grapes are grown.
