About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on the northernmost hills of Friuli Colli Orientali, where the cool climate suits Pinot Grigio. The soils consist of Eocene marl and sandstone.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested both by hand and mechanically during the first two weeks of September. After destemming and gentle pressing, the must is settled statically at low temperature. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled 16–18 °C.
Ageing
The wine remains in the fermentation tanks on its fine lees for eight months, with frequent stirring. After bottling, it rests in the cellar for an unspecified period before release.
Tasting profile
Complex and well balanced, with fresh citrus notes and a gently saline finish.
