About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from selected vineyards in Oltradige, situated at 420–600 metres above sea level. The vines, aged between 15 and 32 years, grow on southeast- and southwest-facing slopes with gravelly, limestone-rich soils.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in late September and early October. Fermentation and malolactic fermentation take place in oak barriques and tonneaux.
Ageing
The wine ages on its lees in oak barriques and tonneaux. After one year, the final blend is assembled and matured in concrete vats for at least eight months before bottling.
Tasting profile
Lively acidity accompanies bright notes of ripe orchard fruit, with gentle vanilla and toast from the oak. The palate combines power and concentration with a balanced style.
Label / history
The wine debuted in 1986, when selected lots from different vineyards were first vinified and aged in small barrels.
