About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown between Liguria and Piedmont, at the foot of the fortress overlooking Gavi. The vineyards occupy slopes with sandy, melamine-rich soil.
Vinification
The wine is made at the San Quirico winery in Diano d'Alba, near Alba. The grapes are harvested in late September and gently pressed. The must is filtered, then fermented at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine ages in stainless-steel tanks and continues to mature in bottle after bottling.
