About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown at 800 metres above sea level in siliceous clay-limestone soils and harvested very ripe.
Vinification
The wine is made at the San Quirico winery in Diano d’Alba, near Alba. Harvest takes place during the first ten days of October, followed by fermentation.
Ageing
It matures for at least six months in French oak barriques, followed by a further two months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Fairly complex, with elegance and softness imparted by ageing in French oak.
