About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Castellaro comes from a small vineyard on the northern side of Monte Castellaro. Its outlook toward the Lessini Mountains brings notable coolness to the site. The volcanic ground is extremely stony, and the vines root through basalt-rich soil.

Grapes

100% Garganega.

Label / history

Castellaro is one of three small, site-specific Garganega vinifications in the “I Luoghi” project, together with Fittà and Tremenalto. The project presents wines from vineyards resting on volcanic soils of differing origins in order to express the complexity of these individual places.
