About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The estate’s vineyards cover about 600 ha on the slopes of Mount Taburno, across Foglianise, Torrecuso, Vitulano, Campoli del Monte Taburno, Castelpoto, Apollosa, Bonea, Montesarchio, Ponte, Tocco Caudio, Paupisi and Benevento. The soils are clay and limestone with volcanic rock. Winters are mild, with regular rainfall from September to March, while summers are warm and dry.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in late September at full ripeness. After destemming and crushing, they are gently pressed and fermented in stainless-steel tanks at 15 °C.
Tasting profile
The nose is elegant and fruity, with mineral notes. The wine is balanced, with persistent flavours of dried apricot, honey, citrus and flowers.
