About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Serrs Ozzanos mountain vineyard in the countryside around Monti, at 500–600 metres above sea level. The vines grow in sandy, granitic soils. Together with favourable temperatures, these conditions contribute to the grapes’ intense character and the wine’s balanced flavour and lasting finish.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into small crates. Vinification involves extended maceration and fermentation at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12–18 months in 1,000-litre oak barrels.
Tasting profile
Intense in character, with a balanced flavour and a lasting finish.
Label / history
“Serranu” literally means “mountain”, referring to the mountain vineyard where the grapes are grown.
