About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Primitivo is grown in southern Italy. The vines are trained on trellises and grown as bushes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, and only the ripest bunches are selected. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with a long maceration of around 20 days.
Ageing
The wine ages for 8 months in 300-litre French oak barrels, then 4 months in 50-hl casks, and a further six months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Smooth and balanced after ageing.
