About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are grown in Cantina Tollo’s vineyards in Abruzzo, on hills between Mount Maiella and the Adriatic Sea. The soils are predominantly clay and limestone. The local climate and landscape favour grape growing.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness and carefully sorted. Vinification follows the traditional method for dry white wines.

Elegant.

Serving and pairing

Suitable as an aperitif or with white meat, fish, risotto, fish soups, blue cheeses, assorted appetisers, desserts or fruit.

Label / history

The Villa Diana range takes its name from Diana, the Roman goddess associated with nature, hunting, femininity and fertility. Often depicted as a graceful huntress with a bow and quiver, accompanied by hunting dogs or deer, she is represented on the label by a bow. The black label has gold embossing intended to evoke her mystery and strong character.

The name also refers to Abruzzo’s unspoiled natural landscapes. National parks cover one-third of the region and support wildlife including deer, an animal particularly dear to Diana.
