Vineyard and terroir
The Glera grapes are grown in Veneto.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at maximum ripeness, carefully selected at the winery and gently pressed. The must is chilled and clarified by flotation. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is chilled to 10–12 °C and sterile-filtered. Tirage liqueur is then added, and a second fermentation takes place in a sealed pressure tank according to the Charmat-Martinotti method.
Tasting profile
The aroma is delicate, fruity and floral. The palate is light and fresh.
Label / history
Tombacco produces the still and sparkling wines of the La Vite brand exclusively in the patented Bag-in-Keg system, comprising an aluminium bag inside a plastic container. The packaging protects the wine from air and light, helping preserve its taste and quality.
