About this wine

Grapes

Nero di Troia is a slow-ripening variety native to Puglia. It contributes elegance, freshness and a gentle touch of spice. Aglianico adds sweetness, warmth and richness.

Ageing

After fermentation the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for 8 months.

Label / history

The name "Bolonero" can be translated as "black cement". It refers to the type of cement used to build Castel del Monte for Emperor Frederick II. The wine reflects Torrevento's philosophy that a wine's primary aromas should take center stage.
