About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the hills of Puglia, in the Murgia region north of Bari. The vineyards lie at 350–400 metres above sea level on medium-textured clay-limestone soils and yield 110 hl/ha.
Grapes
The blend comprises 50% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot and 20% Primitivo.
Vinification
Healthy, ripe grapes are carefully selected and generally harvested during the first 20 days of September. They are gently pressed and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures in stainless-steel tanks for 3–4 months.
