About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Petrignone vineyard lies in the Oriolo subzone of Romagna. Planted in 1968, it has sandy clay soils. The grapes are harvested by hand in late September.
Vinification
The wine undergoes 12 days of maceration at 28–30 °C, followed by malolactic fermentation in glass-lined and concrete tanks. It is bottled without filtration.
Ageing
It rests for at least six months in previously used, medium-toast French barrels.
